Every creature had to change after the Old War and the emergence of modern society. One such creature is the humble mimic. Once content with taking the form of simple chests in the damp corners of musty dungeons and feeding on wayward adventurers, modern times required modern advancements. Mimics now took all sorts of forms and were highly sought after for their unique abilities and shapeshifting. Mimi took the form of a younger woman and took odd jobs as a merc. Though outwardly a pretty convincing form, Mimi has some trouble with facial expressions and therefore may not seem as openly expressive. Many people often feel put off by Mimis presence. With her blank expression and the dried blood that seems to line the cloth of her sleeves, she leaves an aura of mystery surrounding her and her motives, though Mimi oftentimes simply wants to eat.

Angels after the war receded into heaven, forsaking the creatures of the living world, though perhaps for good reason. Being magical creatures, angels became mortal after the fall of magic, and turned to cybernetics and forbidden techniques to preserve their ancient form. As a result, angels took perverse forms and banished half their kind from heaven. Celestia is one of the few remaining angels who is still ethereal in form, a rarity after the war. Though heaven’s motives are unknown, Celestia was sent to infiltrate the living world and inhabit the body of a mortal to fulfill heaven’s agenda. The poor victim of this ethereal takeover was, unfortunately, Mimi.
